Call For Entry - October 2019

The Jones Gallery invites you to enter our October Call-For-Entry.

"Art for the Animals"

Theme for this show is “The Beauty in Nature”

The term "nature" may refer to living plants and animals, geological processes, weather, and physics, such as matter and energy. The term often refers to the "natural environment" or wilderness—wild animals, rocks, forest, beaches, and in general areas that have not been substantially altered by humans, or which persist despite human intervention.

We are asking artists and photographers to capture “the beauty in nature” in any manner, location, or subject they choose.

All proceeds of sales will go 50/50 in support of both the artists and the Kansas City Zoo.

First Friday in the Crossroads Arts Distrist

Local Artists:

If possible, please bring some refreshments and/or appetizers to share with the public. Wine, beer, pop, or water in coolers is acceptable too. The gallery has tables set up along the west wall and provides plates, cups and napkins.

National Artists:

The Crossroads Arts District is packed with happening art galleries in restored warehouses. Hip coffee bars, brewpubs, BBQ joints and retro-styled bars dot the area, along with independent shops selling fashion, and handcrafted jewelry. At monthly First Friday events, art shows and food trucks draw big crowds.

50/50 Sales Benefit

All proceeds of art sales will go 50/50 in support of both the artists and the nonprofit foundation.

To increase the likelihood of selling your art, it is highly recommended that selected artists or their representative be present during the First Friday Artist Reception.
